Owner's Profile

Mr. Domingos is the Owner of Siemex and Principal Engineer. He is entitled for project management, metallurgy, production design, lean six sigma process optimization and operations with a focus on development and improvements of existing or new projects; provides technical support in full lifecycle project development; process design, know-how transfer and training; development of new equipment and tools; and management of cold start, warm start and ramp-up services for metallurgical clients.

 

Due diligence in all American plants of Globe Metals and European factories of Ferroatlancia. Support on Australian operations of Silicon. Support as technical services for all Silicon plants for the optimization of electrode usage. Equipment and process auditing for metallurgical industry for a 100,000 ton per year ferroalloy factory. Successful implementation of Södeberg Aluminum case technology in 2 x 30 MVA furnaces in Brazil with +USD 3 Mio cost avoidance savings. Development of Silicon process with mixed reducing agents (coke + coal + charcoal). Production in lab scale of UMG (4N) via refining process with acidic treatment.

 Engineering review and assessment of 66,000 ton per year ferroalloy factory. Increasing more than 18% in production capacity of EAF furnace. 1,130 warm start and ramp-up in SAF for metallurgical production.
∙ Experience in start-up of multiple SAFs (up to 84 MVA).
∙ Reduction of 54% in the gas consumption in metallurgical refining processes.
∙ 110 Lean Six Sigma experts trained (approx. 5200h).
∙ Development of the Silicon 5.0 concept.
∙ Industrial development and commissioning of all recent operations Silicon plants in the world – Wacker, Mississippi Silicon, PCC, etc.
∙ Support on design concept discussions of the GF plant that has been built in Tennessee.
∙ Support via McKinsey India in Greenfield Silicon plants in India.
